ArtsMark
Artsmark is a
national arts award for schools in England. It is a symbol of recognition for schools
making a strong commitment to the full range of arts art and design, music, drama
and dance. The Arts Council of England awards the Artsmark. Development has been led by
the Department for Culture, media and Sport in partnership with the Arts Council, DfES,
QCA, Ofsted and Sport England.
The main aims of
the Artsmark scheme are to increase the range of arts education provision and to raise the
profile of arts education.
Artsmark
- recognises,
promotes and disseminates good practice in arts education
- extends
arts education opportunities for young people in schools
- encourages
effective partnerships between schools, arts practitioners and organisations
