Healthy Schools
The Healthy
Schools Programme is a key part of the Governments drive to improve standards of
health and education and to tackle health inequalities.
The National
Healthy School Standard works to
- improve
educational achievement
- improve
health and emotional well being
- make
schools a safe, secure and healthy environment where young people can learn and develop
The Standard
has eight key themes
- Personal,
Social and Health Education (including sex and relationships
education and drug education
- healthy
eating
- physical
activity
- emotional health and well being
(including bullying)
